GUANACASTE OUTRIGGERS (outrigger = Hawaiian canoe)
The
outriggers were the Hawaiian natives's aquatic transport since about
700 years ago and were made from wood and bamboo. At today we make them
with fiberglass
and wood, and they are as reliable and stable as the original canoes,
since the floaters at both sides of the canoe as well at the front and
rear, make them practically unsinkable.
This
tour is truly for everyone with a sense of adventure, the ability to
handle a little bit of physical activity and love for nature... Was
created to give Fun on the water to our clients and bring
them a close contact with nature.
Once
in the tour, we'll paddle 30 to 40 casual minutes along reefs and beaches
with spectacular cliffs filled with pelicans and frigate birds to one
of our destinations, to land on a gorgeous and secluded white sand beach.

The
outrigger canoes are the ideal craft to move people under their own
power on the ocean. Each outrigger canoe is steered by a guide or steersman
(timonel), with up to 8 clients nice and easy paddling. The tour is
easy, and the canoes are comfortable, incredibly stable and safe, and
they require client participation. We have 3 outrigger canoes ready
to go. That gives us a capacity of 24 clients two times a day.
GUANACASTE
Outriggers tours will be a very easy trip. Clients will be called upon
to paddle the canoe. But the canoe will continue on its way if one were
to skip a few strokes.
Our
guides and support staff are experienced water men/women, they are people
who understand and respect the ocean.
Kayak
Option Tour (available as an option to go in the outriggers tour)
In
the case of clients that prefer to do the tour in safe sit-on-top kayaks,
we have 3 double kayaks and 3 singles available as an option to go at
the side of the outriggers. Our capacity in Kayaks is 7 in order to
give us a safe guide to client ratio.
